The Realme 12 Pro smartphone series was announced in India on January 29. A total of two models have come under this new lineup, namely – Realme 12 Pro and Realme 12 Pro Plus. Out of which the higher ‘Pro Plus’ model is more feature-rich than the standard variant and also slightly more expensive. But it is quite affordable compared to other handsets available in the Indian market with periscope cameras.
Its price starts from Rs. 29,999 in the country. And the Realme 12 Pro Plus device – comes with flagship grade 50 megapixel Sony IMX890 primary camera, Qualcomm Snapdragon 7S Gen 2 chipset, dual stereo speaker system supported by Dolby Atmos technology and 5,000 mAh capacity battery. Realme 12 Pro Plus Smartphone Price and Availability in India
The Realme 12 Pro Plus phone has been launched in the country with a total of three memory configurations. Of which the price of the base option with 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage is Tk 29,999. And the higher 8GB RAM + 256GB storage and 12GB RAM + 256GB storage variants have been priced at Tk 31,999 and Tk 33,999 respectively. It is available in – Submariner Blue, Navigator Beige and Explorer Red color options.
Let us inform those interested that the first sale of the device will start on February 6 at 12 noon. The phone can be picked up from e-commerce site Flipkart, the company’s website (Realme.com) and select retail stores.
Incidentally, the company has organized a special early access sale for the Realme 12 Pro Plus phone today (January 29) at 6 PM. The phone can be pre-ordered from today via select offline stores and the online pre-order window will open tomorrow (January 30).
Specifications and features of Realme 12 Pro Plus
First let’s talk about the design of the Realme 12 Pro Plus phone. It comes with faux leather back panel. On the back is a large camera ring module, inspired by luxury watches. The handset is 8.75 mm thick and weighs around 196 grams.
The phone has a 6.67-inch Full HD Plus (2412×1080 pixels) curved OLED display. The display design is punch-hole (centered) style and supports 120 Hz refresh rate, 240 Hz touch sampling rate, 2160 Hz WM dimming, 950 nits peak brightness and 10-bit panel.
It uses Qualcomm Snapdragon 7S Gen 2 processor to deliver good performance. This phone runs on the latest Android 14 based Realme UI 5.0 custom skin. Again, up to 12 GB of RAM and a maximum of 256 GB of ROM will be available as storage.
The Realme 12 Pro Plus smartphone features a triple rear camera unit. The cameras are – a 50-megapixel Sony IMX890 primary sensor with OIS, a 64-megapixel OmniVision OV64B periscope telephoto shooter with OIS and 3x zoom, and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide unit.
Meanwhile, the front of the device has a 32-megapixel selfie camera. Furthermore, the handset packs a 5,000mAh capacity battery, which supports 67W wired charging. Finally, the phone will feature an in-screen fingerprint sensor and a dual stereo speaker system with Dolby Atmos technology.
