Realme launched Realme 12 Pro and Realme 12 Pro Plus in global markets including India yesterday (January 29). However, the notable thing is that these phones are yet to be launched in Realme’s home market i.e. China. However, the company has hinted that customers will have to wait longer in that country. Because the Realme 12 Pro series is going to be launched in China in February. The launch date may be announced in a few days.
Realme 12 Pro series will be launched in China next month
The Realme 12 Pro lineup consists of two smartphones, namely Realme 12 Pro and Realme 12 Pro Plus. The latter is the only model in the segment to offer a flagship-grade primary camera and periscope telephoto camera. Both phones come with a 6.7-inch punch-hole curved OLED display. This 10-bit panel offers FullHD+ resolution of 2,412 x 1,080 pixels, 120 Hz refresh rate, 240 Hz touch sampling rate, 2,160 Hz PWM dimming and 950 nits peak brightness level.
For performance, the Realme 12 Pro has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 processor, while the Pro Plus model is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7S Gen 2 chipset. Both run Realme UI 5.0 software skin based on Android 14.
For photography, Realme 12 Pro’s triple rear camera setup includes a 50-megapixel Sony IMX882 primary sensor, a 32-megapixel Sony IMX709 sensor with 2x telephoto lens, an 8-megapixel ultrawide lens. And there is a 16 megapixel selfie camera in front of the phone
The rear panel of the higher-end Realme 12 Pro Plus houses a triple camera unit comprising of a 50-megapixel Sony IMX890 main sensor, a 64-megapixel OmniVision OV64B 3x periscope telephoto lens, and an 8-megapixel ultrawide sensor. And on the front of the phone is a 32-megapixel front-facing camera
Besides, both the Realme 12 Pro series models include dual stereo speakers and an in-screen fingerprint sensor. For ultimate power backup, the phones come with a powerful 5,000mAh battery, which supports 67W wired charging.
