In April last year, Xiaomi launched the Xiaomi 13 Ultra, the most premium smartphone in its No. 1 series in China. Several recent reports have claimed that the Xiaomi 14 Ultra will debut earlier than its predecessor. Adding to the speculation, a Chinese tipster has also claimed that the Xiaomi 14 Ultra will hit the market next month. Incidentally, Xiaomi’s ‘Ultra’ models mainly focus on advanced camera setups. As a result, the upcoming model is also expected to offer a better camera.
Xiaomi 14 Ultra launch timeline leaked
According to the tipster, Xiaomi 14 Ultra equipped with Leica Summilux lens may be launched in the Chinese market by the end of February. Based on the information that has surfaced about this phone so far, it can be said that the primary camera will support a variable aperture range of f/1.63 to f/4.0.
Additionally, recent reports have revealed that the Xiaomi 14 Ultra will feature a 50-megapixel Sony LYT-900 camera with a 1-inch sensor as the primary camera. Again, the phone’s 50-megapixel periscope telephoto camera will offer a focal length of up to 120mm. The Xiaomi 14 Ultra’s quad rear camera system may also include a 50-megapixel Sony IMX8-series ultra-wide lens and a 50-megapixel telephoto camera.
Some reports also claim that the Xiaomi 14 Ultra will house an under-display selfie camera. It is also reported that the Xiaomi 14 Ultra flagship will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset and will support two-way satellite connectivity. For power backup, there may be a large 5,180mAh battery, which will support 90W wired charging and 50W wireless charging.
In terms of design, the Xiaomi 14 Ultra doesn’t seem to see much change from its predecessor. The device will come in shades like Blue, Orange and Black. Meanwhile, the Blue variant may have a glass-made back panel, while the other two variants are said to come with a silicone skin. The Xiaomi 14 Ultra is likely to make its debut during the upcoming Mobile World Congress 2024 (MWC 2024) tech conference, which will be held in late February. The Xiaomi Pad 7 series may also debut alongside the Ultra model.
