The arrival of the flagship grade Xiaomi 15 smartphone series is now several months away. However, various information is already leaking about the lineup. Today, the key specifications of the series have surfaced courtesy of a popular tipster. The Xiaomi 15 series is claimed to feature Qualcomm’s upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset.
Xiaomi 15 series features leaked online ahead of official launch
Tipster Smart Pikachu has revealed the specifications of the Xiaomi 15 series on Chinese microblogging site Weibo. The tipster claims that the tech giant will use the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 SoC in its next-gen flagship smartphone series. Also, this lineup is said to offer a display panel that supports 1.5K resolution.
Incidentally, in December last year, another well-known Chinese tipster Digital Chat Station (Digital Chat Station) claimed that the Xiaomi 15 series will feature a 6.36-inch OLED display with 120 Hz refresh rate support.
This is all that is known about the features of the Xiaomi 15 series for now. However, there are reports that the production of the series is likely to start in September. Which means the shipment of the devices will go live in the first half of October.
Note that the predecessor Xiaomi 14 (Xiaomi 14) series was released in the Chinese market in October 2023. That’s why the company is expected to keep a similar launch timeline for their next generation flagship devices as well.
