OMEN 30L Gaming Desktop PC, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Graphics Card, 10th Generation Intel Core i9-10900K Processor, 32 GB RAM, 1 TB SSD and 2 TB Hard Drive, Windows 10 Home (GT13-0093, 2020)
The HP OMEN 30L GT13-0093 Gaming Desktop is by far the most powerful rig for pro gamers, and it has an understated take on many of its competitors. It’s so quiet, the power packs a punch. It starts with a gentle rumble and produces white buzzing noises when you run a demanding game or productivity app. Compare this to the jet engine sounds of other gaming desktops, and the HP OMEN 30L GT13-0093 comes out blazing like a daily productivity machine.
Our review model of the Omen 30L, the GT13-0093 Cyberpunk 2077 packs a great Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 graphics card for 4K activities. It also has an unlocked Intel Core i9-10900K CPU and overclocking features for tons of memory and storage.
Modern aesthetics, customizable RGB lighting and brand components from Cooler Master, Western Digital and HyperX make the Omen 30L a capable alternative to the Alienware Aurora R11. The Corsair Vengeance i7200 remains our Editors’ Choice for high-end mainstream gaming towers for its subtle looks and quiet operation, but the Omen 30L is still a good choice.

Price And Availability
The HP OMEN 30L GT13-0093 – like many other gaming machines with Nvidia GeForce RTX 30-Series GPU – are not readily available in the market. And should you get one, they never come cheap.
Right now, the most affordable model on the HP website is the Omen 30L GT13-0295xt, which costs around $2,000 and comes with an Intel Core i7-10700K CPU, an Nvidia GeForce RTX 2080 Super GPU, 16GB of RAM, 512GB SSD + 2TB HDD. storage, and air cooling system.
Then there’s the most expensive model: the Omen 30L GT13-0380t starting at around $3,280. You’ll find an Intel Core i7-10700K CPU, an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3090 GPU, 16GB of RAM, 512GB SSD + 2TB HDD storage, and a liquid cooling system. This model is in stock, probably due to its high asking price.
Our review model, the HP OMEN 30L GT13-0093, sits somewhere in the middle. The unit is equipped with an Intel Core i9-10900K CPU, an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 GPU, 32GB of RAM, 2TB SSD + 2TB HDD storage, and a liquid cooling system. For all its value, it’s an incredibly powerful machine, and given the high demand for the 3080 GPU, it’s great value to grab before it’s out of stock again.
Design
The HP OMEN 30L GT13-0093 is a refreshing replacement to the company’s Omen Obelisk lineup, sporting a redesigned case, new technology and improved components throughout. The HP OMEN 30L GT13-0093 model we’re reviewing gets its name from the roughly 30-liter interior volume, with the chassis measuring 17.7 x 6.5 x 16.6 inches (HWD). The tempered glass front panel feels great and sets it apart from the smaller and less powerful HP Omen 25L.
HP throws in an additional tempered glass left panel paired with bright interior RGB lighting, which gives the Omen 30L a sleek modern vibe. There are small triangle cutouts around the front panel, which apart from giving a cool look to the chassis, provide airflow to the 120mm Cooler Master RGB fan. The top-mounted Maine logo is also backlit, and all lighting (interior and exterior) is individually customizable for color, brightness, and pattern via the Omen Command Center app.
Like all sizable towers, the case has ample working room, despite the slender outlook. In fact, everything is destined for a custom look, but the interior wiring can be naughty. Everything else looks to be part of a gaming desktop, with the Intel Z490-based ATX motherboard featuring a passive heatsink for cooling. For added cooling, there is a 92mm fan at the rear, which fits perfectly considering the slim profile of the HP OMEN 30L GT13-0093.
Ports
HP OMEN 30L GT13-0093’s Port selection is excellent, including a minimum of top pick ports: two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A, an audio combo jack, and a separate microphone jack. The latter is for older headsets that have separate connectors. The front ports are recessed, and the downward sloping serves as a guide for inserting peripheral connectors, while the recesses ensure that the connectors aren’t glued too much.
On the back, there are more ports, including six USB Type-A ports; a USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C port; and microphone, line-in and line-out jacks. On the GeForce RTX 3080 card, there are one HDMI and three DisplayPort video outputs.
Gaming And Graphics Performance
In our review configuration, HP has added Intel’s top-end consumer-oriented Core i9-10900K processor, which is a step up from the Intel Core i9-10850K processor in the HP Omen 30L GT13-0093, which we recently reviewed. was reviewed, But both graphics cards rock one of our current best picks for Nvidia’s flagship RTX 3080 graphics card.
As configured, HP’s latest Omen is a gaming powerhouse, though it doesn’t always win against some of its peers, like the Corsair Vengeance i7200 (Core i9-10850K CPU, RTX 3080 GPU) or the Alienware Aurora R11 (Nvidia 10900KF), RTX) 3080).
The Omen GT13-0093 faces its most direct challenge in the desktop battle with the ASUS ROG Strix G35CZ, which packs a factory-overclocked Intel Core i9-10900KF and an RTX 3080 graphics card for effectively the same price as the Omen. adds for. , but with less hard drive storage. But in most cases, storage should not be a barrier when it comes to gaming.
At Shadow of the Tomb Raider (the highest settings), the high-end CPU and class-leading graphics card deliver impressive performance, with enough pixel-pushing power to match a similarly configured system. However, it fails to match Corsair and Alienware machines with the higher-end RTX 3090s, but in part with the RTX 3080 models.
On Far Cry New Dawn (Ultra), the HP OMEN 30L GT13-0093 ties in with the ROG Strix at 1080p (FHD) resolution, and it leverages on 4K resolution.
On Grand Theft Auto V (very high settings), the same trend repeats, seeing the HP OMEN 30L GT13-0093 and Corsair Vengeance i7200 tie, but the Omen falls slightly behind at 4K.
Overall, the Omen 30L’s numbers look compelling, with simply a couple of frame rates separating it from the Corsair. The Falcon Northwest Talon (2020) with Ryzen 9 chips has a slight advantage over UHD/4K resolution, given that the GPU, not the CPU, is the defining factor.
Productivity Performance
Pairing a high-end CPU and GPU with 32GB of RAM, a 1TB NVMe SSD, and a 2TB hard drive, the Omen 30L also shines in productivity. In fact, it slightly beats Corsair and Alienware systems, with better transfer speeds and flexibility in graphics-intensive projects.
The Omen 30L supports CPU overclocking when equipped with an Intel K-series multiplier-unlock chip like the Intel Core i9-10900K in our review unit. The Omen Command Center app features an intelligent overclocking mode that automatically determines the highest stable overclock, with improved speed without increasing the core voltage.
Our Rating | Excellent
The HP Omen 30L GT13-0093 runs games and productivity apps beautifully, thanks to a well-balanced orchestra of hardware and a quiet cooling system. It’s definitely expensive, but if you have the money to spend, its performance and feature set are well worth the premium you’re paying.
Pros
- Powerful components
- Excellent performance
- Runs quietly
- Striking design
Cons
- Side-panel window exposes too much unpolished cabling
- No power-supply shroud
Conclusion
While the HP OMEN 30L GT13-0093 doesn’t stand out above the Alienware Aurora R11 or the Corsair Vengeance i7200, it’s still a less expensive and respectable option that just can’t be cornered. For all its value, it delivers consistently good quality inside and out, a smart look with customizable RGB lighting, overclocking features, and futuristic upgradeability that make it a safe choice.
Perhaps, its biggest drawback is that the same one faces different high-end diversion towers and computer components in late 2020 and early 2023: availability. The model we reviewed is available in stock as I write this, and even though it takes a few weeks to ship, the HP OMEN 30L GT13-0093 desktop is well worth the wait and money if you choose the right configuration.
